a heavy moon rises
full in yellow glory
it’s a moon to be shared,
I think, awed at its presence
and wonder if the clouds
obscure your view
if so, I wonder if you feel
the tug that rules the tides

I subjugate you,
Pull you by the hair,
Dominate you
Tell you I don’t care.
Demoralize you,
You are Mine to invade,
She left my life so quickly,
Leaving a hole in my heart.
I thought I would die.
I thought I would never love again.
Sunday mornin’
1 a.m.
sitting
staring off into distances,
into darknesses,
past memory,
creaking – settling – cooling
noises echo soft
and the mind -
wanders, wonders
and finds…
I wish the mist
Would swallow me
It swallows trees
In white oceans
Where I could swim
Across valleys,
Peering at birds
Asleep below.
I nestled in that place
Between asleep, and awake
An erotic fairytale in the making
As moons, and stars danced
In onyx sable, and blue thoughts.
Listening to the silence
Of each moment
I breathed in eternity
And closed my eyes
To yesterday.
its 4 a.m.
a knock on the door
three loud knocks
wake me from sleep on the couch
I hazily look around,
trying to figure out
what is going on
lights flash through the window,
Do you dream in color?
Full rainbows hues – spectrum wide -
refractions of reflections spawned
within mind’s eyes crystalline view.
Un-empty picture frames
border the space -
holding all the colors now unseen,
close – beyond even a person’s dreams.
Fractals play sound fully
glory in reverie…
lost to reality -
found in memory.
Do you dream at all?
Do you fly as I -
so seldom fall
more than a mile or three,
awakening with pounding heart
so hard it hurts…
and yet eyes close
so soft anew
and breathing slows.
Nurtured in warmth
a pulsing flow of liquid thought
churned in the life-mix
of sound and movement
a twitch, a kick of possibility
then silent again, waiting, waiting…
Maybe one day you’ll
Finally see
That this is where you
Ought to be
Maybe then,
love,
You’ll stop running
From yourself
